Zuck Launches New App

Good morning. Zuck just released the brand new Threads app. If you’re a business owner, here’s what you need to know about it. Use this to build a personal brand and leverage that to sell high-ticket deals at scale. 🧵 

Twitter vs. Threads

Twitter just warned it could sue over the launch of Meta’s new Threads app. Will they do so? Probably not. Chances are, some arrangement or settlement will come before any major impacts to the platforms occur.

This will create fierce competition though. Honestly, social platforms are meant to be cycled. Over time, each platform gets saturated and people want the next new thing. This is why TikTok did very well early on. It was fresh.

Don’t Repurpose On Threads

One of my growth consulting buddies, Sean Anthony, said: “marketers ruin everything.” I agree. 😂 Eventually, more content will be repurposed on the Threads app and tarnish the originality and freshness of it.

If you’re a business owner, you may want to consider not just repurposing your content here quite yet. Take some time out to post and be original, because there is an opportunity to cut through the noise and do very well.

Personal Brand vs. Company

The answer is, to do both. While a personal brand is ruthless when it comes to generating money from any business you launch, you still want to build up your company page on a new platform like this.

You can always create high-quality content on a platform like Threads because it’s easier and off-the-cuff. Just take 10 minutes a day to post a few times. Remember, you need to be posting useful, high-quality content that separates you from the rest of the junk out there.
