Waking up at 5am for a no-show sales call

The harsh realities... lol

Funny story today…

I had a scheduled sales call with a guy in Australia this morning…

And since we have mismatching time zones…

I woke up at 5:00 AM to meet.

This was our second call, after quoting him to help with paid ads, content, and copywriting…

So he was looking at about $3-4.5k per month.

Unfortunately, he did not show up this morning.

(Don’t believe it was my email follow-ups or SMS reminders since those are dialed in.)

So while I could have been upset after dragging myself out of bed so early…

It reminded me that you are never going to have a 100% show rate on sales calls.

Even if you’re the best possible closer, marketer, and entrepreneur….

The people you’re selling to have a lot going on.

They could have been pitched your same service 5 times this past week.

They could have had an emergency.

They could have seen one of your emails and been thrown off due to the vibe of your content.

Who knows!

That’s why you can’t get too wound up about sales call no-shows.

Just keep your head down and focus on filling your pipeline…

And eventually, you’ll have a show rate above 85%.

That’s probably good enough to get to 6, 7, even 8 figures over the years.

Alright - I’m off to hit a quick workout before the slew of Zoom calls starts.
