Are sales calls dead?
If you’ve seen the new wave of “closing over chat”…
You’re probably in disbelief.
Especially if you sell something high-ticket like 5k, 10k, or 30k.
This completely depends on the industry you’re in — older business models aren’t there yet.
However, there are some massive deals being closed over chat.
I tried this recently and was surprised by the results.
I quoted someone $30k over chat…
And I literally dropped the payment link after they agreed on a price.
They didn’t close for that price (so take this with a grain of salt)…
Yet it seems as though some people don’t need a sales call like they used to.
They just need a great outreach, high-quality content, and a clear understanding of their assumed ROI.
I’m still a bit skeptical of accepting $30k over chat without speaking face-to-face…
Because who knows what the refund rate would be if you don’t have a personal connection first.
Keep in mind - you can always hop on a quick call to clear up objections.
But I know some colleagues in the consulting, coaching, and B2B space are doing this.
All the way up to $50k for one deal paid in full via chat.
Crazy stuff…
It just goes to show where business is headed.
Most deals will likely be done over social media in the future (in the DMs or chat)…
Or you’ll sell expensive services over email without ever speaking to the prospect.
All objections will be handled by watching your YouTube videos or Instagram Reels…
And wallah…
You have a 1m/year 3-person business.
This stuff is already happening.
I just think it’s cool to follow along and test some of it out.
