What I learned from losing $18k
Ripped off, stolen from, and better off
I’ve lost $18k investing in side projects…

And if you’re a biz owner who likes to “reinvest” in your business with training programs, coaches, consulting, etc…
You probably know how it feels to be ripped off.
I had one e-com guy basically steal $15k from me last year.
No service was provided.
I had an appointment-setting agency take $3k from me, then ghost.
Will I get the money back sometime? Maybe.
But the reality is I’m not super worried about it.
I believe it was a message from the universe to stop getting distracted by shiny objects.
And I don’t feel bad for taking a risk on some of these things that didn’t work out.
It’s all part of the game — and I learned from them.
However, as business owners…
We should be hyper-focused on our main business.
A lot of clients that come into our agency have 8 different products/services they are offering…
And it’s our job to tell them the truth.
One single focus usually works better.
This isn’t to say you can’t have a product line…
Or that you can’t start a side business at the right time.
I still believe in multiple streams of income.
However, 90% of your time and attention should be focused on the main thing that brings the cash flow.
Don’t get distracted by launching other businesses…
Or by going down different routes that don’t serve you.
Focus on your one offer.
Focus on your one customer.
Focus on building up your team.
