Good morning. Last week, a new wave of digital marketers hit the internet with a crazy promotion. They pulled in $200k in 4 days using no funnel, no sales calls, and nothing but a Stripe link in their bio. 🤔 Here’s how.

The Death Of The Sales Call

Of course, this isn’t happening anytime soon. But futuristically, sales calls will likely not exist for top advertisers. The best salespeople may be able to sell via video, chat, or written content — rather than sitting through a 40m Zoom.

This small group of digital marketers did just that. They abandoned the sales call and replaced it with long-form content. The video sales letter they leveraged was posted on Instagram only. No other socials. With just 50k collective followers, they banked $200k in Stripe in 4 days.

Ditching The Funnel

There was actually no sales process here. All these guys did was post content on Instagram for 4 days. All the content was extremely controversial. They were slandering agencies, talking about economic shifts, discussing government utopia, and speaking about AI and new tech in an unusual way.

Did it all have to make sense? No. The purpose of this was to draw attention. It just had to make sense enough for people to think… “Maybe they know something I don’t.” This resulted in a flood of new followers, intrigue, and massive sales. The best part is, that they had no funnel. No website. No landing page. Only a Stripe link in their bio at a $5k price point upfront. 💰️ 

Why They Made $200k In 4 Days

Why did this work? Well, the controversial content is part of it. You can do the same in your business. Call out common trends, expose old systems so you and your prospect have a common enemy, and get attention through education and shock media. These are all legit forms of marketing that the biggest brands in the world do. However, that’s not what did it.

The real reason these guys did so well is because they had status. They already had gone through a phase of making SaaS companies $1B in market value. They had shifted industries 3 times and still make multiple millions in each. They are masterful advertisers and salespeople, and everyone knows it. Which makes it a whole lot easier to sell whatever you want.
