If I had 7 days to land a $50k client

Doing this right now to see if it works

If I had 7 days to find a client who could pay me $50k, here’s how I would do it.

  1. I would set up an account with a cold email software and a LinkedIn prospecting software. Let them warmup.

  2. I would list out my top ten companies or prospects that I would like to work with.

  3. I would use those keywords on a lead tool like Apollo and make a big list of 5k+ people to reach out to.

  4. I would then create a simple script asking to learn more about their work in an interview-style call.

  5. I’d hop on calls to learn, qualify, and set up the next meeting where I present my solution.

  6. I’d build out the solution based on the problems they told me on the call. Totally custom at first.

  7. Then repeat until someone pays the invoice for a fat retainer or large chunk of change.

I’m doing this right now. It’s tough, and it’s a very “in-the-trenches” way of selling. But it’s basically the only thing that truly works. Especially in a proper bootstrapped environment and a lean operation.

You’re forcing product-market fit with whatever offer you’re selling, or you’re flat out building the solution on the fly.

It doesn’t have to be cold email either. If you have some cash to spend, use paid traffic to book the calls. Or use your existing network.

Point is, there is no way around getting your hands dirty and learning what your market wants.

Cheers,
